NetSuite and #1 Business Partner Skyytek Split
For reasons that are not clear, but most certainly cannot be good, on-demand ERP software maker NetSuite and its number 1 business partner and reseller for the prior three years, Skyytek, have officially ceased to do business together.
The ERPblogger, Phil Wainewright, other ERP blogs and a few insiders report that NetSuite attempted to impose lower margins at a time that Skyytek was extraordinarily frustrated with the software as a service ERP maker using its inside sales staff to directly compete with its business partners.

NetSuite's business partner program is a very unfunny joke. While the company says it endorses its channel program, its executives promote its direct sales force to battle the channel, its finance department constantly imposes new restrictions and higher fees on its partners, and its inside sales telemarketers proactively lure the resellers customers away from the reseller to work directly with Netsuite. Having come from the Microsoft Dynamics channel as a long time Great Plains software reseller, my intent was to develop a relationship with a respected and ethical on-demand accounting software partner. My expectations have been rudely shattered.
